October 26, 2009 Daniel Sams, a 6-2, 190-pound junior quarterback recruit, is no longer enrolled at Slidell (La.) Salmen High School, according to numerous published reports.When reached by phone, a school spokesman said he was not allowed to comment on students. But WGNO-TV and the Times-Picayune both reported that Sams had been dismissed from the school because of an unspecified violation. Salmen, one of the top teams in the state, is 6-1. It hosts Franklinton Friday before ending its regular season at Pearl River. Sams did not play last Friday night, a 35-12 victory over Riverdale. Sams, according to the Rivals.com recruiting database , has a scholarship offer from Tulsa while receiving "medium" interest but no offers to this point from LSU and Alabama.
