Sapolu talks upcoming visit
When you have a long time NFL player and multi-time Super Bowl Champion as a father, you come from a great high school program and are all set to play for one of the top offensive line coaches in the country; it is safe to say you have a lot going for you. That is exactly what Roman Sapolu has going for him and this weekend he will be in Corvallis to be on hand for the big recruiting weekend that lay ahead for Oregon State program. Luckily for everyone, Head Coach Mike Riley will be there too.
Sapolu and his Huntington Beach (Calif.) Edison teammates lost in "The Rematch" to eventual California State Champion Servite (Anaheim) in the CIF Championship game. Despite the disappointment that came with the defeat, Sapolu has a lot to look forward to as he recently hosted Coach Davis and Coach Cavanaugh on in-home visits to discuss his future as a Beaver.
"They know that I am 100% committed to being a Beaver and so we just discussed the program and how they see me fitting into what they already have going for them up there," the 6-foot-2, 270 pound lineman said.
