Jersey ATH ready for second official

This weekend marks the first official visit weekend for Michigan State, and at least three confirmed official visitors - and definitely several more unofficial visitors - will be on campus to see the Spartans take on in-state rival Michigan.

One of the official visitors expected on campus is Tejay Johnson of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. Johnson (6-2, 190) is listed as an "athlete" in the Rivals.com database, and that's exactly where the Spartans project him at the moment. He has the ability to play wide receiver or defensive back.

Johnson, who recently named Nebraska his top school after an official visit to Lincoln on Sept. 4, currently has the Spartans among his favorites.

"Nebraska, Cincinnati, Michigan State, Purdue, Pitt and Rutgers, Syracuse and Florida," Johnson listed as his favorites. "Not sure what other two I will choose for official visits because I already went to Nebraska and I got Cincinnati (Oct. 23 or Nov. 6) and Michigan State scheduled for officials."

The Spartans will continue to hang in the race for Johnson if he has a good visit this weekend.
