Addison ready to make an Impact

Newman (LA) finished the 2014 football season with a 9-1 record for the second straight year. Unfortunately, they exited earlier than desired from the playoffs and spent the winter with sour tastes in their mouths. The Greenies were able to spread the ball around and produce a high powered offense. While most of the fanfare was centered on Rivals 100 member, Kendall Bussey, other key factors contributed to their success. One of those factors was the dynamic playmaking of 2016 receiver Tyler Addison.

Addison is arguably the Greenies most skilled receiver, but faced an injury plagued junior season. Despite the minor setback, he finished the year with just over 500 yards and 35 receptions. He also added 9 touchdowns for the season.Seven of his scores came through the last four games of the season and served as his best output to date. He maintains that he hasn't played fully healthy since week one.
"Next year I just want to get on the field healthy and continue to make plays", said Addison. "Last season was a bit of a setback for me and my team. I am fully healed now and ready to make an impact."
The 6-foot-1 wide-out is no stranger to hard work and has plans to put that on display this summer.
"I plan to attend the rivals camps in the spring and also take to some visits to colleges", said Addison. "I will visit the Louisiana schools over the summer. Primarily Tulane, Louisiana Tech and Louisiana-Lafayette will get initial visits."
The star receiver also excels in the classroom and has his eyes set on west coast powers California and Stanford. He also knows that after an injury riddled junior season, this off season is of extreme importance.
Addison posted a 4.5 in the forty yard dash and weighed in at 185 pounds. He provides a viable option for most offenses in the red zone. His ability to highpoint balls are what set him apart. If the Greenies want to repeat last year's success, incorporating Addison will be a wise choice.
He has been medically cleared and reports to be fully healthy. Outside of in-state collegiate camps, the speedy wide-out will take part in the New Rivals Combine series. No official location has been set, but a decision will be made later this month.
