Parkview Baptist routs Notre Dame of Crowley 42-7

NEW ORLEANS - Parkview Baptist answered a first-quarter touchdown by Notre Dame of Crowley with 42 points of its own for a 42-7 victory in the LHSAA Class 3A State Championship Game on Saturday.
The Eagles (13-0) captured their fourth state championship, and their first since defeating Patterson 24-20 in 2010.
Austin Thibodeaux's 2-yard touchdown run midway through the first quarter gave the Pioneers (12-2) a brief 7-0 lead before Parkview exploded for 21 points in the second quarter.
After Hezekiah Randolph scored on a 17-yard touchdown run, the Eagles recovered an onsides kick and drove to another touchdown, with Randolph scoring from a yard out. A two-point conversion gave the Eagles a 14-7 lead.
Brennan Bozeman connected with Seth Shaw on the Eagles' last possession of the first half to make the score 21-7 and all but put the game out of reach.
